Erik and I really appreciate everyone’s loving and kind thoughts. Sadly, I lost the baby last night. I'm doing all right physically, but Erik and I are truly devastated. We never imagined all of this would happen, especially after we had already heard the baby's heartbeat. The doctor told us again that it isn't anything we did wrong, and that the baby had profound chromosomal defects.
As saddened as we are with this loss, Erik and I are hopeful that things will eventually get better. We just pray that everyday will get a little easier. We know that we'll never forget about this first pregnancy, or our loss, but we are hopeful to begin our family when the time is right.
All of your phone calls and emails have been very helpful. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We are really taking comfort in our family and friends right now. Thank you for all of your love and support. We will be in touch with everyone.
