Happy Halloween

I love our Halloween tradition of trick or treating on Lisa and Nick’s street with them and the neighbor girls! The weather was perfect this year! We went up and down both sides of the street, and the kids had fun running from house to house. This year Caleb and Mila wanted to dress up as Minecraft You Tubers! I was a little disappointed because this was the first year that they didn’t really have costumes. They both wore a solid-colored hoodie and each had an accessory specific to their person. Mila wore purple cat ear headphones and Caleb wore a smiley face mask. They still looked cute!

After trick or treating we came back to the house for chili and cornbread! The kids all ran down to the basement and sorted through their candy. I was so proud that everyone knew to keep any kind of peanut candy away from Mila! The kids even traded with her to give her more of the candy she could eat!

Pumpkin Farm Fun! 🎃

We explored a new pumpkin farm in Huntley called Tom’s. The jumping pillow is still a favorite! Mila took Hazel on it for her first time, and she loved it! I love that our older kiddos still get excited to see the farm animals and ride on the bicycle tractors. It was a quick visit this year, but no matter what, the cousins have a blast together!

 

Guess What?!?

I'm going to be an Auntie again!!  Natalie and Jamie are expecting a baby girl in April and we cannot wait to meet her!!  They had a gender reveal for family at their house, and we found pink frosting in our cupcakes!  They also announced her name ~ Leila Grace!  Isn't that beautiful?!  I love that her middle name will be Grace like Mila's middle name!  I think that is so special!  I feel so blessed that I get to love on more little ones!  

 

Fall Soccer Star

Mila had so much fun playing fall soccer with the park district.  Her team name was Lightening and she did a great job!  She had the most goals all season, and her love of soccer has grown even more!

Caleb's 4th Karate Tourney

Caleb redeemed himself at his recent tournament!  He's been practicing so hard!  He got 1st place on his basic skills and 3rd place in self defense skills!  I love seeing his proud face!!  He's  in training for his black belt!  He will test next summer!

Reese and Bella are 15 years old!!

Happy Birthday to our sweet puppy girls!  I cannot believe that they are 15!  We are so blessed that they have been with us for this long!  Things I want to remember about my girls: how Bella is my shadow, how Reese kisses my face when she wakes up, how they both lay right alongside my legs while they sleep, how Reese pitter patters when she runs, and how much Bella loves her treats!
