Easter on Caleb's 6th Birthday!

When Caleb was born, Easter was a week later.  I remember being in the hospital and wondering if his birthday would ever fall on Easter.  I learned it would happen when he turned 6.  At that time, 6 seemed like an eternity away!  At the beginning of this year, I was looking at holidays, and was blown away that this is the year that Easter would be on his Birthday!  I couldn't believe how quickly this year had come!!

I love my babies' birthdays!  It is such a special time for me.  I literally reminisce the entire week about the emotions I was feeling before they were born and changed my life forever!  The night before their birthdays I tell them what was happening that night before we went to the hospital.  Then I tell them what it was like when they were born and when we brought them home.

With having his Birthday and Easter the same day, we knew that we wanted to fully celebrate both! It was a little overwhelming because I always make each holiday and birthday special, so I had double the work this year!  However, I think both turned out really special!
Last night as a 5 year old
A few weeks before his birthday, he asked me if I thought the Easter Bunny was going to bring him a birthday present?  Note to self :)
The Easter Bunny hid eggs throughout the house for the kids to find!
Love her just awake face :)

After our Easter egg hunt, we got dressed and went to church.  Then we came home and ate our blessed food.  Then Caleb got to open a few birthday presents.

Opening Mila's gift
My parents, Aunt Beth, Uncle Nick, Matt, Gail, and Gail's Dad joined us for Easter dinner.  Then Joy, Lisa, Nick, and their kiddos came over for an Easter egg hunt!  Since it was raining, we did it inside!
Love Nikko's face!  Mila gives tight hugs!
I have proof!!  These two were sharing!!
Then the big kids had an egg hunt!

After all the eggs were found, we sang Happy Birthday to Caleb and had some cupcakes.  Then he got to open some more presents!
He got these awesome dino posters from my Aunt Beth and Uncle Nick!
Even Mila got some gifts!  She loves this new book from Gram about her feelings!
Auntie Lisa read Caleb his new "Poop Book," from Gram!
Sweet dreams my six year old!
