Happy Easter!

A lot of people felt like we weren't even having an Easter this year because of the quarantine, but we told the kids that we would still celebrate Jesus' Resurrection, even if our celebration looked different this year. We didn't get to see any of our family, but we still did our usual traditions. In the morning the kids found Easter eggs throughout the house and opened up their baskets from the Easter Bunny. We watched mass on TV and ate our blessed breakfast together. Everyone even got dressed up for a family picture! I bought a small ham and our usual fixings, and Erik made Nan's brussels sprouts recipe. After dinner we played a new card game together.  Even though it was different celebrating without our extended family, we still had a fun day together!

Virtual Basket Blessing

We are still under quarentine, so we had to do a virtual Basket Blessing this year. We colored eggs and put together our baskets. Mom, Dad, Natalie and Jamie came over, but we kept our distance. We are all supposed to stay 6' apart from each other.  We also kept our face masks on, but took them off for pictures.
