Auntie Natalie's visit

Auntie Natalie came home for a visit in the end of September.  Both kiddos were really excited to see her!  Mila came to the airport with me to pick her up, and Caleb stayed behind to put together this surprise!
This visit was on the shorter side, but we made the best of it!  We had a lot of fun just hanging out together!  I gave her an early Christmas present...matching Christmas PJs!

We took the kids to a new play place called Fun Republic!  There were fun things to climb and jump on, and lots of toys that inspired imagination!

Even though the week flew up, we had a lot of fun together!

Soccer Practice

Caleb and Mila are taking a soccer class together!  It's through the St. Charles Park District, and they are loving it!  It's teaching them basic skills, which is exactly what Caleb needed!  He has improved so much since his last soccer experience!  It's so fun watching them run up and down the field, learning how to control the ball.  The class really focuses on teamwork and and good sportsmanship.

From the Mouth of my Boy!

Caleb:
This boy is still head over heels in love with little Miss Vivian!  These are some of the things that he's told me in regards to the first few days of school!

"The most horrible thing about 1st grade is that Vivian is not in my class!  But I do get to see her at recess, while waiting for our rides to pick us up, and in the hallway after potty break!"

"Mom, Vivian is different this year.  She doesn't run away from me like last year.  I know she's my girlfriend, but I think she thinks I'm her boyfriend!  Mom what does that mean?"  I pointed out that he is a friend and a boy, so that makes him a boyfriend.  I then asked him what he thought it meant, to which he responded, "I think it means we'll be friends forever."  He is so cute!!

"Mom I gave Vivian your cell phone number in case she wants to call me for a play date!"

He asked me if we go take out a Christmas decoration.  I guessed it was their toy train, and he said not the train.  He started dancing around and singing, "Little People Jesus, Little People Jesus" over and over again!!  He wanted their Fisher Price "Little People" nativity!

While driving past a giant rock quarry, Caleb said that looks like a dino hunting stadium!

In the Disney movie, The Descendants, there's a song with the words, "Did I mention that I'm in love with you?"  Caleb told me that he wants to plan a play date with Vivian.  He's going to wait upstairs in his room, and when she comes into his room, he's going to play that song on his CD player for her!!  He's such a romantic!

His favorite thing to play at recess is, "Evil Dr. Fire Breath and the Super Hero Girls!"  Six girls and he run around the playground together!  I asked him do you chase them because your're the bad guy?  He replied, "No, they chase me!"
