Mila's Art Party

Every year I have the best time creating a memorable birthday party for my kids!  This year was no different!  Mila is very creative, and I asked her what if we had an art themed party for her 9th birthday?  She loved the idea and I got to work!  I has so much fun collecting ideas on Pintrest for decor, dessert, and a fun craft all the kids could do!  It all came together so well, and Mila had a blast with her family and friends!

I swear each year goes by faster than the last!  It isn't fair!  Our baby girl is 9 this year!  Last year in single digits!

She is 4' 1" tall and weighs 57 lbs.  She's still in the 20th percentile for her height and weight!  We love our little shorty!  

She still fits in size 8 clothes, and is slowly transitioning into size 10.  Her feet are still tiny!  She wears a size 2!  She prefers comfy clothes, but is starting to wear stretchy jeans!  She also likes to wear dresses!

She loves to draw!  She likes to follow tutorials she finds online!

She is just like her Mama and loves to decorate for the holidays!  She currently has Halloween decor up in her room because she couldn't wait!  I can't wait to see what her house will look like when she's an adult!

She absolutely loves babies and little kids!  Which is perfect because she has some younger cousins!

She can be quite sassy and we are trying to nix any talking back!  Her favorite thing to say right now is I know!!  The preteen attitude is strong with this one!  

She is a great helper, especially when she can see I'm stressed out!

She is a natural little athlete!  She loves soccer, gymnastics, and swimming!

She loves to listen to music!  She is often found with headphones on, singing along to her favorite songs!

She still loves to play with baby dolls!  Her favorite is Rosaline, and she loves changing up her wardrobe and accessories!

She likes to play video games with Caleb.  They play Minecraft and Mario together.

She is very responsible with her peanut allergy.  I am so proud of her and how she is always conscientious about it!

She has lost 9 teeth, and adores the Tooth Fairy :)

She is very competitive and won't let anyone tell her she cannot do something!

She is still a picky eater and not a fan of trying new things!  Thank goodness she does not have a gluten allergy, because she eats noodles almost every night!

She feels emotions with every ounce of her being!  

Her nicknames include: Mila Bunny, Me, Mila Bean, sweet pea, sugar, and baby girl.

First Day of School

I cannot believe that we have a 6th and 4th grader!!  Caleb is now in Junior High!!  He has Mrs. Frank, Mr. Rawson, and Mr. Krasinski.  He's in pre-algebra and advanced ELA!  I bought him a scientific calculator, and told him he really needs to pay attention in class because I definitely do not remember how to use that!  Mila has Mrs. Duhig!  Caleb loved being in her class, and I'm glad Mila has her too!
