Lisa and Nick welcomed their 2nd baby, Nikko Alexander, on January 12! He is just beautiful, and Caleb and Mila are so enamored with him! They were so in awe when they got to hold him for the first time!

Hoping for a Happy and HEALTHY New Year!
Cannot believe it's 2015! And to think I started this blog in 2008! I'm so glad to have this journal to look back on all of our fun memories! Right before Christmas, Caleb was sick with a cold and one night of croup. The night of Christmas, Mila got a cough and started up with a fever for 5 days. She had no appetite, and even refused to drink from her sippy cups. We were forcing Pediasure through a syringe. Her fever finally broke on the 30th, but she was very lethargic, and we could tell she wasn't acting right. I took her to the ER, anticipating she was dehydrated, and she received IV fluids. She was a champ! She barely cried for the IV, and did exactly what she was supposed to do for her chest xray. Luckily, all her tests came back normal and they said she seemed to have a virus. They gave us some anti-nausea medication and sent us home. Thankfully, my work was fine with me staying home on the 31st, because I could tell that she needed me. Needless to say, we had a very low key NYE, but I don't think the kids noticed :)
Caleb cut up construction paper during the day to make his own confetti, just like Natalie and I used to do when we were younger! We then gave them a bath with glow sticks! Caleb said it was the best NYE ever! At around 8:30pm, we played a video on demand that had some dance music and a pretend countdown! The kids threw their confetti, and we had fun watching them laugh and run around!
After Caleb and Mila started feeling better, Erik and I both got sick for about a week. It was awful being cooped up in the house! I think we're finally on the mend!

Christmas Eve
We had so much fun this year with our Elf on the Shelf, Snowflake! Both Caleb and Mila were very excited to see where she was hiding each morning! These are pictures from our last day with her. Our elf lets us hug her on the last day, because she doesn't need her magic to fly back to the North Pole. She goes back home that night with Santa!
After a yummy lunch and lots of present opening, we got ready for church.
After church, we came home to our house. We had our traditional Ukrainian Christmas Eve dinner with my parents and the kids got to open even more presents!
| so excited for her Frozen boom box! |
