20 year High School Reunion

Erik and I can't believe that it's been 20 years since we graduated high school! We were debating whether or not to go to our reunion, when I decided that I would probably regret it more if we didn't go. We weren't really sure who would be there, and I told Erik if it was no fun, we could leave after an hour. We were so glad that we went! We got to catch up with so many old friends! There are a lot of people that we keep in touch with on Facebook, but that we don't actually get to see in person. We had so much fun reminiscing old times. We were also surprised to learn how many of us live within such a close distance of each other!  Hopefully we end up running into each other!  I had so much fun, that I ended up not taking any pictures!  Luckily my friend Meagan took some!

1st Annual BFF New Buffalo Weekend

Michelle, Marissa, and I were finally able to coordinate a weekend for our families to go to New Buffalo. We were so fortunate to stay in the Polach's house. We arrived late Friday night, and I told our kids that I wasn't sure if the other kids would still be awake at 10:00 pm. Right when we walked into the house, all the other kids ran up from the basement to greet Caleb and Mila! They were all so excited for our fun weekend. The kids all set up sleeping bags in the basement family room, while the adults each took a bedroom. Friday night they were up till about midnight with all their excitement!

Saturday morning the dads went golfing while the moms took the kids to the pool. It was so laid back and fun just preparing meals all together and feeding all 6 kids. After lunch the dads joined us and we all drove to the beach. It was so hot that day, that the sand was burning our feet! We were racing from our towels to the water! We knew that a storm was supposed to be coming in, and we packed up our things just at the right time. Right as the dads pulled up with the cars, the winds picked up and things were flying all across the beach! I held on to Caleb and Mila tightly as we piled into the car with sand pelting us.

By the time we drove home, the storm had passed and we were able to grill out for dinner. After dinner we all walked to watch the sunset over the Lake. It was so special to share that with everyone! When we came back to the house the kids all settled down watching movies and the adults were able to stay up late playing games together.

On Sunday morning, we all ate breakfast together and then went to the pool again. When we got back to the house the girls worked on bracelets and the boys did legos. They also had fun playing Mario Kart together. By 4:00 we had to pack up and head home, and our weekend at the lake was over. We all agreed that we need to do this every year, and hopefully be able to come for 3 or 4 days! We loved watching all of our kids have so much fun together. Great memories were definitely made!!
