Mila ~ 9 months old

Mila can still fit in some 6 month onsies, wears 9 month PJ's, and still size 3 diapers!

She still has the rolliest legs I've ever seen!

She is 26 1/2" long (25%) and weighs 18.8 lbs (50%)!

Mila can clap her hands!  It looks like she's brushing her hands off!  It's so cute!

Mila was sick for the first time last week.  She had Roseola and had a fever for four days.  Thank goodness she is feeling much better!

She puts her fist in front of her mouth and babbles over and over!

She loves to jump!  She gets very excited when I help her jump on the bed with Caleb!

Mila loves to eat, and gets very excited when I'm getting her food ready.  She "yells" at me if I'm not getting it ready fast enough!  She's tried some cooked carrots, potatoes, peas, and peaches.

She still only has two teeth!

She's crawling!!  However, I'm not sure she really wants to be.  When she gets on her hands and knees, she lifts her knees up and gets on her feet, as though she's willing herself to stand up!  She's also starting to pull herself up on the couches, and likes standing at her music table!

She gets really excited over the "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" theme song!  When I put the show on for Caleb she will lean and stretch no matter where she is to see the tv, and then gets a big smile on her face!

Mila nods her head!  This is hilarious to me, because Caleb used to shake his head no!

She's been doing better with the separation anxiety.  She goes to Daddy much easier now, and that makes me (and him) so happy!

Mila dances and bops up and down to music!

She will not lay still for diaper changes!

Mila loves playing with her toys!  She will sit and play so much longer than Caleb ever did!  This is such a nice change of pace :) Especially because her big brother still never slows down!!

My Mother's Day was really nice :)  I got so many beautiful cards!  Erik, Caleb, and Mila got me another birthstone charm for my necklace!  I love that my kids' birthstone colors are blue and green!  My favorite colors!  How funny how that worked out!  I also got a massage membership for three months!  I have to make time to use that!!

Erik and Caleb made me heart pancakes for breakfast, and then Caleb and I went to the park to play while Mila (and Erik!) napped!  Then we went to Jay and Tina's house to see Grandma Joy and to play with cousins!  It's so fun that all of the kids play together, even Mila!

We had a family favorite, Portillos, for dinner, and exchanged some more cards and gifts.  Then our poor little girls started getting sick!  Mila got a fever and Sophie was coughing!  We gave Mila Tylenol, but it didn't really help.  After her 2nd dose, her fever was 102.3!  We finally tried some motrin at 4am, and that helped!  Now we're just monitoring her and alternating Tylenol and motrin to control her fever.  The MD said everything looked clear, so hopefully this virus will be short lived. 

Happy Mother's Day

It's my 4th Mother's Day as a Mommy!  It's my 1st Mother's Day to two kiddos!  I can't believe that!   I can't wait to see what kind of surprises they and Erik have planned for me :)  I can't wait for my Mom to come over after work tomorrow night so I can give her our surprises!

What's new

Caleb is singing!  He's remembering words to songs and enjoys singing them for us!  It's sooo cute!

Mila is mobile!!  She's crawling in her own cute way!  She gets up on her hands and knees, lunges forward, falls onto her tummy, and then starts all over again!
