Magic Class

When I asked Caleb what activity he would like to try, he told me magic! Luckily, our park district has a magic class once a month!  He was so excited! He thought to wear his black magic hat from home!  The magician taught his several tricks, and Caleb was given a few to take home!  He and Mila came home and put on a magic show for Erik and me!  They were so cute!

Auntie Natalie is Home!!

My sissy moved home from Hawaii at the end of July!! We are so excited!!  It's so nice to have her home, and not be trying to cram everything into a week's visit! It's nice knowing that we can see her often!  It's also nice being in the same time zone, so I can call and text her whenever I want :)

Our 11th Anniversary

11 years!  We are officially a boring old couple!  We enjoyed a delicious dinner together at Montarra, walked around Algonquin Commons, got ice cream for dessert, and were home by 9:15!  Haha!

This year's gift was steel.  It was a little tough to think of a gift since last year was tin and aluminum!  I found stainless steel cufflinks, and had them engraved with LOML & MFEO along with 07.14.06.  Erik got me a steel rose, and a keychain engraved with "I still do."  I loved it!

We also had fun watching our wedding video with Caleb, Mila, and my parents. They were much more attentive this year, and made comments about, "when I get married!"  It was also nice, but bittersweet to see family members who have passed on.

Three Oaks Beach

We had so much fun at a beach in Crystal Lake!  There was sand for the kids to play in, and a lake for swimming!  There was also a splash pad and playground! We definitely need to go back here one more time this summer!

4th of July

We love the 4th of July!!  We enjoyed 2 parades, Bartlett and South Elgin, had a cookout and made smores at Pops and Nana's, then finished it off with some carnival rides and fireworks at the Bartlett fest!
