From the Mouth of my Babes

Can you guess what Caleb is trying to say when he says, "Injanina Turtles?"  I love hearing him say it that way!  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Mila got a Milli doll from Auntie Natalie for Christmas and she loves her!  She calls her Milli and it's the sweetest thing!

While he was typing on my computer he said, "I need to do my business."

Mila ~ 17 months old

It's amazing how she is beginning to talk!  Some of her new words are: snow, cheese, water, remote, phone, milk, brother, no, boogies, bottle, Riley, please, and yogurt.  Of course each word is just the beginning sound, like water is wa, but we can tell what she's saying!

Caleb likes to sing the song, "I like to move it."  Whenever he sings it, she dances around and says move it!!

She also nods yes and says na-uh for no!

Mila comprehends so much!  It really is amazing to me how much she understands!

She gives us tight hugs and closed mouth kisses now!

She is smiling on command!  I love her squinty eye, whole face smile!
She is doing really great eating with a fork and spoon!  Her favorite foods are strawberries, oatmeal, cheese, cucumbers, chicken, and noodles!

Mila loves to dance!!

She loves to play peek a boo, and giggles like crazy when I pretend that she scared me!

She waves hi and bye more!

Mila is sassy!  She definitely lets you know when she is unhappy!

She's a decent sleeper.  She usually goes to bed around 8:30 pm and will sleep till about 6:30 am.  She takes one nap a day after lunch, and it's usually two hours long.

She wore a hair clip for about an hour the other day!  Progress!!

Mila still adores her brother!  She doesn't call him Caleb or Cay Cay, but calls him brother!

Unpacking is way better than packing!

We've been here 5 days now, and I think we've done a pretty good job of unpacking!  We've got the whole kitchen and family room set up, appliances picked out and being delivered on Friday, kids rooms getting painted tomorrow, and all of the other rooms about 75% unpacked!  Every room probably still has 3-5 boxes to unpack.  All of that stuff wasn't too bad because I'm pretty good at organizing!  The stuff that's going to take the most time now is hanging pictures, decorating, and organizing the garage and basement! I'm not even going to stress about those things!  They'll get done when they get done!! I'm just excited that the big move is over!

We finally closed!

We finally closed today on the Sterling Woods Lane house!!!  I'm such a nerd, but I'm so glad that our new street is a lane again :)  It just sounds sweeter!  Erik and I went over there after closing and cleaned with Erik's Mom and her cleaning people.  We got it all done in a few hours!  We had a nice surprise when we drove up, and saw that one of our new neighbors snow plowed our driveway!

While I'm excited to be moving into our dream home, I'm still sad to be leaving our Penny Lane house and Bolingbrook.  I truly do love our first house, and will miss it!!  It's so cute and has the best layout! We have so many fun memories here!  This is the house where we brought our babies home! Tomorrow will be bittersweet, leaving our first home and moving into our dream home!  Prayers that the snow will hold off until the moving truck gets to South Elgin!!
