WE'RE HAVING A BOY!!!

We had our 17 week appointment on Thursday. When Dr. Colgrove walked in, he asked, "You guys want to find out today?" We smiled and said, "We hope we can!" When he started the ultrasound, he wanted to hear our guesses. We said we honestly didn't know. I told him that at first I was thinking it was a girl, but that in the last two weeks I thought it could be a boy. He pointed at the screen, and before he could say it, I said. "It's a boy!" He said, "Yep, it's a boy!"

I squeezed Erik's hand, got a kiss, and asked, "Are you so excited? It's a boy!!" Erik said, "I told you I'd be excited no matter what!"

The ultrasound continued and Dr. said, "I don't usually say this, but I'm 100% certain it's a boy!"

Our son likes to put his hands in front of his face! Also there's a picture with his arms behind his head! I said, "He's laying like his Dad already!"

Dr. said that his growth looks on track, and that my health looks great too! So far, so good!!! I haven't felt any movement yet, but the Dr. said that I should start to feel some in the next week or so.

When we walked out of the office we asked a women to take our picture. I wanted to capture our faces when we found out we're having ourselves a little man!! Then we sat together and called our parents and siblings! Everyone is so excited, including us!! Now that we know we're having a boy, we've started to talk more about names. We have a few that we like, but haven't settled on one yet. Tomorrow we're going to Buy Buy Baby (a store owned by Bed, Bath, and Beyond) to look at baby gear! Hopefully we'll start getting ideas for his nursery!! Every week it seems to become even more real! We're going to be parents!!

OSU vs Purdue Football Game

Last weekend Erik and I drove to Indiana for the Ohio State vs Purdue football game. On Friday night, all of the cousins stayed at Joe's house on campus. I tried to stay up pretty late, but by 11:30pm I got ready for bed! Joe was really nice to give the pregnant lady his bed! And Erik was excited he had to sleep by his pregnant wife! Haha!

Saturday morning we all piled on the layers to stay warm for the game. However, we really lucked out! The sun was out, and we all stayed pretty warm! Unfortunately Purdue won! The Buckeyes did not play well at all! All though I'm sure Erik disagrees, it was still fun being at the game with the family! Afterwards we drove to Noblesville to Sandy and Scot's house for the night. We all pigged out on pizza and pumpkin pie, went in their hot tub (well not me), and watched the Alabama game!

Sunday morning we had fun eating Aunt Sandy's monkey bread, hanging out, and looking at old pictures that Grandma had brought. The weekend flew by, but we had fun seeing everyone!
