10 months old!

Here are Caleb's latest and greatest :o)

Caleb weighs about 21 lbs and is about 30 inches long!

He’s wearing 12-18 month clothes, and is going to be wearing size 4 diapers when we use up the rest of the size 3!

Caleb loves looking in the refrigerator. No matter what he’s doing, when he hears the door open, he races over to crawl inside!

He claps his hands when we say “clap” or say “Yeah Caleb!”

He loves to dance when he hears music! He bounces up and down and shakes his booty back and forth.

He’s gags when he eats something new or something he doesn’t like. It’s so hard not to laugh!

When he holds his bottles to drink by himself, he likes to shake the bottle around to see the milk swirl, and usually ends up spilling it!

Caleb has started eating yogurt, multi-grain cheerios, Babtcha’s pureed borscht and pureed beef barley soup, egg yolks, and avocado.

He calls out to us when we’re out of his sight!

Caleb has 8 teeth!

His hair is getting longer, and is still blonde and very fine.

Caleb’s really good at pulling himself up to standing, and then bending his knees to sit back down.

He loves to jump on our bed, with our help of course, and screams and giggles.

Caleb tried a piece of dog food! See previous blog entry!

His favorite thing to play with is the squeaky dog ball! I cringe and try to stop him when he puts it in his mouth!

The biggest mischief he’s gotten into is emptying the dogs' water bowl all over the floor! Unfortunately for our wood floor, this is a daily occurrence!

Caleb has the best facial expressions...he’s trying really hard to communicate.

Caleb makes mama, daddy, baba, and ohhh sounds.

He laughs at sneezes...real and fake ones!

Caleb loves swimming in his bathtub! He crawls so fast to the bathroom when he hears the tub water! I cannot wait until summer to take him to the pool!

He’s waving hello and bye bye more.

Caleb puts his fist by his mouth and makes Indian sounds.

He likes when I put the blanket over our heads together. I tell him we’re in a tent.

Caleb whispers. It’s so cute!

He sticks his tongue out and wiggles it up and down!

He puts his hands on top of his head when we ask, “How big is Caleb?

Caleb can point to his nose and ears!

When he’s getting into places he’s not supposed to, and I tell him no and pick him up to move him, he wiggles his body and screams out in protest!

Caleb clicks his tongue.

OMG

Caleb is now safely restrained in his exersaucer! It is impossible to pump when he's awake and on the loose! I thought I'd be able to pump while he played with his toys...not a good idea! The only toys he's interested in this morning are the squeaky dog balls. He keeps trying to give them to the dogs, and then puts them in his mouth! Aghhhhh! I've been taking them away all morning!

So I'm trying to chase him around while pumping, and he makes a beeline for the dog food! Before I can scoop him away I see he's chewing on something! Aghhhh! He was chewing on a piece of dog food! While I'm trying to get the dog food out of his mouth, one of the milk bottles I'm pumping into spills all over my pants! Again...Aghhhhh!!! And it's only 10:30am!

Where did my baby boy go?

That's what I'd like to know! Where did my little baby go? I look at Caleb with his mouth full of teeth smiling back at me and see a little boy!! I swear he has totally grown up overnight!! I'll need to work on getting some new pictures up soon. He looks so much older just from his Christmas pictures from 2 weeks ago! Please slow down little boy!!!!

Happy New Year!!

We had so much fun ringing in 2011 with Erik's cousin Joe, fiance Ally, and my college friends Lindsay and Doug! We had everyone over at our house for a "surf and turf" dinner. Erik cooked up some delicious prime rib and salmon, while Ally and I made the roasted potatoes and veggies! I got to use our china again!

After dinner we put Caleb to bed, then played some Apples to Apples and Catch Phrase while sharing some glasses of wine! We ran into the family room to watch the countdown at midnight! I looked at Erik and said, "I wish Caleb was down here with us!"

I want him to be a part of everything we do! Erik then pointed out that he probably wouldn't know what was going on! Well Caleb must have read my mind, because after 1am, Erik looked at the baby monitor to see Caleb standing up in his crib! Next thing we know, Caleb stayed awake from 1am-3am! I was laying in bed begging him to go back to sleep!
