TAKING CARE OF PUPPY GIRLS

Erik has been such a good Daddy to Bella and Reese today! They had to go for their annual check-ups and shots. Every year we have a problem with little Bella having bad reactions to her vaccines. Her face always swell up, and we've had to go to the emergency vet several times! So far, so good this time! Erik gave her and Reese preventive Benadryl all day yesterday, and even throughout today! He said that they did really well at the vet. Reese weighed in at a whopping 7.6 lbs, and Bella was 8.2 lbs! The vet said we're also doing a good job brushing their teeth! When I got home from work, Erik and I took Riley on a nice long walk. When we just got home, Bella started to swell a little bit around her eyes. Erik calls her his little alligator! Hopefully she'll be ok throughout the night. We'll probably need to get up and make sure she gets her Benadryl every 4 hours! Poor little thing!

SPRING HAS ARRIVED

Oh how I love Saturday mornings when the sun is out!! It's my favorite time of the week! I love sleeping in till about 9, getting up and making a fresh pot of coffee, and catching up with my emails and blog! It's my time to myself to enjoy because Erik is usually out golfing!

By the way, he is the greatest!!! I came home from work yesterday, exhausted from the week, and stressing out because I knew I had to do my usual cleaning and chores plus all of the yardwork we need to get done on this beautiful weekend! I got the best surprise when I walked through the door! There was Erik running around, and when he saw me said, "I was trying to get it all done before you got home!" He had done all of the laundry, dusted, vacummed, changed the linens, and cleaned the bathroom! He said he wanted to get it done for me so I could relax on Saturday morning while he golfed! I was so touched, and so happy!!!

So far this has been a wonderful weekend! Hopefully we can get the yardwork done today, since it's supposed to get cold and rain tomorrow! I really hope the cold days are gone!!

HAPPY EASTER

Erik, my Dad, and I colored our eggs today, and went to basket blessing at St. Nick's. For the past 4 years we've had this tradition. Mom always has to work, but she always does the shopping earlier in the week to buy the Ukrainian Babka bread, ham, butter lambs, and the gross horseradish that my Dad eats! She puts the baskets together, and then we add the eggs before getting everything blessed!

Erik and I are will be going to church tomorrow morning, and then to my Aunt and Uncle house for Easter dinner! We hope everyone has a Happy and Blessed Easter!

JAM PACKED SCHEDULE

Last weekend was a busy one! On Friday night, Erik and I met up with Dan and Nik for dinner at the Ram. Dan is my god brother, and Nik is his girlfriend! We hadn't seen them in about 2 years, so it was really fun to catch up on each others lives!

Saturday we had a family friend's wedding to attend. The reception was at the Seville, the same banquet hall that Erik and I went to for high school dances! The place was decorated beautifully, and the bride looked gorgeous! We didn't really know many people, so we weren't really dancing much...well the bride's Mom took care of that! She pulled Erik up to dance, and Lisa and I were laughing out butts off! Mrs. Holzwarth told me I had to come and save him! I told Lisa I wasn't dancing without her, and we all ended up getting out on the dance floor for a while! It was a fun Saturday night!

Then on Sunday I went with some girlfriends to visit our friends, Trish and Brandon, at the hospital! They just had their first baby girl! Her name is Kaitlin Rose! Both baby and mom look wonderful and are doing great! Brandon is such a proud daddy! It was really sweet that they let us visit them and hold Kaitlin!

When I came home on Sunday we had some visitors! My Uncle Nick and Aunt Beth from Alabama were in town and stopped by to have some lunch with us! It was nice to kick back, relax, and have Uncle Nick upgrade my computer! Haha! He's always looking out for us! It was nice to see them, and we're looking forward to them visiting again in a few weeks!

This weekend is also filled with seeing friends! Last night Erik, Lisa, Nick, & I had dinner at Mongolian BBQ, then we went to see Fast and Furious! I have to admit, it was a great movie! Then tonight Erik and I are going on a bowling date with some of my girlfriends and their spouses! I'm sure it'll end up being boys vs girls at the bowling alley!
