From the Mouth of my Babe

Caleb wanted me to make a list about Easter:

"Easter is about when Jesus comes back to life.  And Jesus is Risen.  And that's what Easter is all about.  And Easter is also about the Easter bunny and that's just for fun.  And the Easter Bunny makes the kids happy by hiding eggs, and that's what he likes to do to make Easter fun.  Every Easter we go to church and hear songs like, "The ground began to shake, the stone was rolled away."  And that's what Easter is all about.  And I love Easter because it's so much fun!"

Caleb really got into decorating the eggs this year!

Then we all went to Basket Blessing together at my parents' church.  This is a Ukrainian tradition that I've been doing with my parents since I was a little girl!  This year was extra special because my Mom didn't have to work and got to go with us!

This year, Erik and I tried to be extra convincing because Caleb told us that the Easter Bunny is just a legend!  We hid some eggs throughout the house for them to find!

Caleb's Octonaut Birthday Party

Caleb chose to have an Octonauts Birthday Party.  It's a show on Disney Junior about a team of eight adventurers who live in an undersea base, the Octopod, from where they go on undersea adventures.  Caleb has quite the collection of the characters, sea creatures, and their vehicles.  It was easy to decorate for his party!
