Iyla's 1st Birthday

Iyla had a "You are my Sunshine" 1st Birthday Party!  She was too cute in her birthday outfit and tutu!  We can't believe how big she's getting!  Like Caleb, she had a quarantined birthday celebration.  While we weren't able to give her hugs, at least we got to see her and share some birthday treats!

Mommy's Birthday

I had a pretty sweet 39th birthday!  Erik and the kids planned a beach themed party for me!  It was too cute!  They decorated the kitchen with teal and green streamers--my favorite colors!!  They picked out the sweetest cards and got me some nice presents!  I got a portable coffee/wine mug, a hydro flask, and a cute summery jar!  In the early evening, family came over to swim, slip and slide, and eat dinner together!  We all cracked up when my gifts from Nat and Lisa were both bracelets!  Natalie's were from Pure Vida and Lisa's were beads that say Caleb and Mila!  I love them both!  Mila and my Mom baked me a funfetti cake that was delicious!  I am so truly blessed, and ready to enjoy my last year in my 30's!

Happy Father's Day

The morning didn't go exactly how I had hoped!  I didn't make breakfast for Erik because he doesn't usually like my boxed pancakes or my scrambled eggs!  So when he came downstairs and saw there wasn't any Father's Day breakfast for him, I felt so bad!  Next year I'll have to get some cinnamon rolls!!

However we did have some great cards, pictures, and gifts for him!  Caleb came up with the great idea for a swiss army knife since he bent Erik's other one while whittling some sticks!  We even got it engraved with Best Dad Ever, love Caleb.  We also picked out some new shirts and shorts, and a pool float for him!  I think the best part were the pictures the kids drew for him!

My parents came over in the afternoon and we grilled some burgers.  Even though my Dad told me he didn't want me to buy him anything, we got him some new shirts, and the kids drew him some beautiful pictures too!  It was a fun and relaxing day!

Mila's 1st Holy Communion

Mila was finally able to make her 1st Holy Communion!  However, it was different compared to Caleb's!  First off, it was in June!  Due to the Covid Pandemic, we all had to wear masks, and we were only limited to 5 family members in the church!  We were all disappointed by these restrictions, but the day turned out to be beautiful and very special!

I bought Mila's dress 2 years ago!  I fell in love with it on Zulily, and it was a great price!  I searched a long time to find a headpiece and veil, and was so happy that my Mom had saved mine from my 1st Communion!!  It was perfect!!  She also wore a bracelet from my communion, and her baptism necklace from Lisa!  She looked absolutely gorgeous!!

After her communion, we came back to our house for lunch!  We were allowed to have gatherings of 10 people at that time, but we snuck in 13!
