Today marks an end of an era – Helen Sereda Pawluk is working her last shift as a nurse at Rush University Medical Center! For the past 42 years she has dedicated herself to countless patients, providing them with comfort, compassion, dignity and support. Her contributions to the nursing profession have elevated the quality of care and treatment at Rush thanks to her willingness to always take younger nurses under her wing to teach them everything she knows.
We are so proud of you and all that you have accomplished in your career and the legacy you have left at Rush. We are equally excited for your retirement and hope that after decades of putting everyone else first, you can finally take time for YOU and focus on self-care. Your family and friends are grateful that regardless of your retirement, we know we can rely on you for your expertise and advocacy when we find ourselves as patients in the future. On behalf of the thousands of patients and families that you have impacted with your loving spirit, THANK YOU. We love you so much Mama!

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone!! This year was really fun! We tried to really soak everything in! We all had a blast!
This year we celebrated Christmas Day at Lisa and Nick's house! They did an amazing job hosting! Their house looked beautiful! Pops and Nana came home for Christmas and spend the day with everyone at Lisa and Nick's house! It was nice to see them again.
Our last celebration was at Grandma Joy's again! It was such a fun and relaxing day! Caleb was really excited to dress up like Santa again, and Mila was his helper with passing out the gifts!

Christmas Eve
We had so much fun this Christmas! I really love all of our family traditions!! On the morning of Christmas Eve, we went over to Grandma Joy's for brunch. Not everyone was able to be there, but it was still fun! The kids played Headbands and the girls painted their nails!
Then we went home to get ready for Christmas Eve mass. The kids had fun running into some of their classmates!
Since we were dressed up in our Christmas best, we came home and took a bunch of family pictures!
We had our traditional Ukrainian dinner, and then opened presents with Babtcha, Dido, and Auntie Natalie. It was such a fun day!
